The Drama major, offered within a Bachelor of Arts program, blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in a comprehensive liberal arts environment. Students explore all facets of theater, from performance techniques like acting, clowning, and improvisation to creative roles such as playwriting, directing, and production design, alongside critical analysis and theory. The program also allows for independent research or practical projects. For outstanding students, the Drama Honors track within a BA Honors degree enables deep dives into theater history, critical theory, and artistic creation, culminating in an honors thesis that builds expertise for careers in scholarship, criticism, dramaturgy, or direction.

BA Honors degrees focus intensely on one (or sometimes two combined) disciplines, requiring higher admission standards and sustained academic achievement. The Faculty of Arts features one of Canada's most varied arts curricula, delivering exceptional education that equips graduates for leadership across all professional fields. With more than 900 course options spanning humanities, social sciences, and fine arts, students can tailor their academic journey. Renowned faculty enrich learning by integrating cutting-edge research into their teaching. Beyond coursework, initiatives like Community Service-Learning and Arts Work Experience foster problem-solving skills and real-world engagement, preparing students to excel in today's dynamic workforce.
