The Master of Christian Studies in Marriage and Family Therapy equips students with the skills and credentials needed to counsel individuals, couples, families, and groups.

As British Columbia's sole Marriage and Family Therapy program and among Canada's limited offerings, we specialize in preparing clinicians with a systemic approach. Graduates gain expertise to support not just individuals but also family units and romantic partnerships. The intensive curriculum combines academic study with hands-on experience, mandating 500+ client contact hours under professional supervision. Upon completion, graduates meet certification standards for: Registered Clinical Counsellor (BCACC), Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCPA), and can pursue Registered Marriage and Family Therapist designation (CAMFT/AAMFT). Our program holds CAMFT accreditation.

Our doctoral-level faculty maintain active clinical practices alongside teaching. Alumni find employment across diverse environments including counseling centers, nonprofit organizations, government services, and independent practices.
