As organizations grow more innovative, the demand for skilled leaders has similarly escalated. Trinity Western's MA in Leadership for Health prepares professionals to navigate the healthcare sector's rising complexity and shifting priorities through a leadership approach centered on collaboration and people—a model demonstrated to enhance organizational performance in Canadian healthcare settings. The MA in Leadership program features two core curriculum themes: Transformational Servant Leadership and Values-Based Leadership. Our program cultivates future leaders through the Competency Model, shaping them into capable, compassionate servant-leaders ready for today's challenges.
With focus areas in Business, Education, Health Care, General studies, and multiple certificate choices, you can tailor leadership development to your career path.
The culminating Leadership Integration Project (LIP) allows learners to implement the leadership competency model, strengthening leadership skills across the five key sectors emphasized in the MA Lead program. Those pursuing the Thesis Track must apply separately, with the research process—from problem identification to data analysis and final reporting—forming the program's academic core.
Qualified applicants who wish to apply may begin anytime to send the following documents and information to the Graduate Studies Advisor as indicated below.
Four year undergraduate degree completed with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the final two years of the degree
Three to five years of work experience (may include volunteering and coaching).
Successful applicants will demonstrate English language proficiency at a graduate level of analysis and thinking.
English as Second Language (ESL) applicants achieving a minimum iBT TOEFL score of 100, or IELTS score of 7.0, are considered to have achieved a graduate level of proficiency, and may be eligible for direct entry to the program.
Applicants scoring lower than this level are eligible to apply for the ESLI Pre-Master’s Program (PMP) at the Langley campus or the TLC Pre-Graduate Study Program (PGS) at the Richmond campus. Achievement of a passing grade in ESLI or TLC indicates demonstration of an acceptable level of English language proficiency for program entry.
