The Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (CPSY) program delivers an exceptional educational journey for individuals pursuing careers in counselling and related professions.

Upon completion, graduates gain the necessary skills to practice professionally across diverse environments or continue their education through doctoral programs in counselling or clinical psychology. Our master's program in counselling maintains full accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of Counsellor Education Programs (CACEP). Featuring diverse therapeutic methodologies and research specializations, our faculty members stand out through their acclaimed academic work and clinical proficiency. All full-time professors hold doctoral degrees in counselling psychology or similar disciplines. As licensed psychologists and therapists, they actively contribute to research, publications, and professional advocacy efforts. Qualification Requirements

You have earned a 4-year B.A. degree in Psychology (honors psychology preferred), or an equivalent 4-year degree, from an accredited institution. You have successfully completed all pre-requisite courses and admission requirements to the program.

You have earned a 4-year degree from an accredited institution, but do not meet all admission requirements. In this case, you may receive a conditional acceptance pending successful completion (minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher) of pre-requisite course(s) prior to starting the program.

The minimum G.P.A. for admission is 3.0 (or B) based on the last two years of the B.A. (presuming these include predominantly upper-level courses) and the minimum grades of four of the upper-level prerequisite courses* in psychology must be 3.7 (A-).

In addition to the standard admissions requirements international applicants are required to submit either a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score as proof of your English language abilities. Minimum TOEFL score for any graduate program is 100 iBT or equivalent. Minimum IELTS score for any graduate program is 7.0 on all bands.

Applications for the fall term (beginning in September) should be submitted on or before the deadline of January 31. Applications for the spring term (beginning in January) should be submitted on or before the deadline of October 15.
