In political studies, we explore the complex dimensions of power, its impacts, and the duties of those who wield and experience its effects. TWU's Political Studies program integrates both social science and humanities perspectives in political examination. Our curriculum investigates both theoretical and real-world applications of power dynamics, merging knowledge from humanities and social science disciplines. As a political studies student, you'll enhance your grasp of political science while reflecting on your civic and faith-based obligations. You'll analyze governmental structures and their role in allocating societal and economic assets. Furthermore, you'll gain insight into political institutions, lawmaking procedures, diplomatic strategies, global affairs, and constitutional law. The program features hands-on learning opportunities, including practicums. Students can choose to study at TWU's Laurentian Leadership Center with internship options in Ottawa or Parliament Hill, plus involvement in our Pre-Law Society or Model UN initiatives.
