In political studies, we explore the complex dimensions of power, its impacts, and the duties of those who wield and experience its influence. TWU's Political Studies program integrates both social science and humanities perspectives in political analysis. We investigate the philosophical and practical dimensions of power dynamics, blending insights from humanities and social sciences. As a political studies student, you'll enhance your grasp of political science while examining your civic and Christian obligations. You'll analyze governmental structures and their role in allocating social and economic resources. Furthermore, you'll gain knowledge about political institutions, lawmaking procedures, diplomatic strategies, global affairs, and constitutional law. The program features hands-on practicum opportunities, providing students with practical experience. Students can choose to study at TWU's Laurentian Leadership Center, complete internships in Ottawa or on Parliament Hill, and engage with our Pre-Law Society or Model UN initiatives.
