TWU's Intercultural Studies program delves into diverse cultural traditions and faith systems, analyzing how Christianity engages with them.
As an Intercultural Studies student at Trinity Western University, you'll investigate different cultural perspectives and religious worldviews while studying Christian approaches to intercultural engagement. The program offers three specialized tracks, allowing you to customize your studies according to your interests. Each track adopts an interdisciplinary method that fosters comprehensive knowledge of cross-cultural challenges and equips graduates for professional careers. A key component involves hands-on field experience through cross-cultural practicums, where students implement theoretical concepts from their coursework.
Students must have standing in five subjects of which at least two must be taken at the Advanced level.
The following equivalents will be considered:
School Certificate: same as GCE with at least two passes at the principal level of the Higher School Certificate.
Certificate of matriculation from recognized universities.
International Baccalaureate with at least two subjects at the higher level.
Other countries: write or email the Admissions Office for information.
Applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency in both oral and written academic English:
TOEFL (Test of English Foreign Language Internet-Based Test): Overall Score: 88 with a minimum score of 21 in each of the four areas and a TWE of at least 5.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System (Academic)): Overall score: 6.5 with 6.0 on Writing Band
CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment): Overall score: 70
Application deadline: Fall - Apply by January 15 (Early Admission); Spring - Apply by November 15 (Regular Admission)
