Medical Physics investigates how physics principles are utilized in diagnosing and treating diseases. Students gain expertise in applying physics concepts and techniques to medical imaging, radiation therapy, radiation safety, and dosage measurement.
The program includes a thesis project and offers an optional paid co-op opportunity, leveraging Toronto Metropolitan University's strong partnerships with healthcare institutions. Graduates emerge with the expertise, practical skills, and analytical abilities to address challenges in healthcare settings.
This program is part of a trio of bachelor of science degrees that begin with a shared first-year curriculum.

Qualification Requirements
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses including the following program specific requirements.
Typically, a minimum overall average of 70% establishes eligibility for admission consideration; subject to competition individual programs may require higher prerequisite grades and/or higher overall averages:
English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
Advanced Functions (MHF4U)
Two of Physics (SPH4U), Chemistry (SCH4U) or Biology (SBI4U)
Note: the minimum grade(s) required in the subject prerequisites (normally in the 65-70% range) will be determined subject to competition.
Applicants who have completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma must present grades of 4 or higher in three Higher Level and three Standard Level subjects, including prerequisite subjects, and a total score of 28 or higher (bonus points will be accepted).
