Political Science explores how societies structure themselves, the reasoning behind these structures, and their consequences. It delves into concepts like citizenship, authority, equity, society, legislation, and liberty. Their Political Science curriculum encompasses four core subfields:
Canadian Politics and GovernanceComparative PoliticsGlobal RelationsPolitical Philosophy HistoryStudents acquire familiarity with these domains while comprehending both practical and theoretical aspects of political systems. They develop awareness of evolving trends and disruptions that influence domestic and international affairs.
Interactive small classes prioritize dialogue, discourse, and professor-led instruction—never teaching assistants—ensuring learning directly from field specialists.
Courses examine modern debates through the lens of enduring political inquiries, fostering an educational environment built on cooperative discovery.
International Applicants - In addition to a high school transcript, international applicants whose primary language is not English must also arrange to have an official copy of their English proficiency scores sent directly to the Admissions Office. 
Adult Learners - Submit a 1–2-page typed letter describing your educational background, work experience, and academic plans. Mature candidates must also submit academic transcripts - e.g. high school, GED if applicable.

International Applicants Currently Studying in Canada - The English language proficiency score requirement may be waived for students who graduate from a high school in New Brunswick with a final grade of 70% or higher on English 122 or 121. The University reserves the right to evaluate students’ English proficiency upon arrival - academic-credit English Language Support courses may be required.
