The Law, Politics, and Society program investigates the connections between legal systems, political structures, and social dynamics—analyzing how laws are created and modified, their impact on individuals, and their interplay with broader social movements. This distinctive program merges legal and political studies into a single comprehensive curriculum. It offers a structured yet adaptable interdisciplinary approach, incorporating knowledge from various academic areas such as Human Rights, Political Science, Criminology, and Sociology. Students gain thorough insight into Canadian law while being exposed to multiple viewpoints and methodologies for examining legal systems, governance, and societal influences on jurisprudence. The program features intimate, interactive classes that prioritize dialogue, critical thinking, and collaborative learning.
Exclusive to STU, Law, Politics, and Society integrates legal and political education into a unified academic experience.
All courses are led by faculty members rather than assistants, ensuring direct instruction from subject matter specialists.
