Effective project management oversees all project phases, from conception and planning to execution and delivery. Managing resources, timelines, and budgets is crucial to avoiding delays and cost overages.
This one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate equips students for a fulfilling career in Project Management, a discipline that applies specialized knowledge and methodologies to deliver projects successfully. Skilled project managers are needed in virtually every industry sector.
The curriculum provides in-depth training in the ten core knowledge areas outlined in the "A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge" (PMBOK® Guide). Participants will gain practical, advanced skills for managing key project components to ensure successful outcomes. The program emphasizes interactive, experiential learning methods.
Project management offers diverse career prospects across multiple fields including IT systems, construction, real estate, financial services, community initiatives, healthcare, and research organizations, providing graduates with numerous professional pathways.
Applicants to the program must have a Ontario College Diploma, an Ontario College Advanced Diploma or a degree from a recognized college or university.
Applicants must submit transcripts verifying previous academic qualifications and experience from recognized institutions. All documentation must be submitted in English.
Applicants must be fluent enough in English to understand the instructors and technical language used during each course. An acceptable score on an English proficiency test is required to be considered for admission:
TOEFL – A minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test, 213 on the computer-based test
IELTS – Required score of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each section
CAEL – Overall score of 60 is required for admission
