Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) impacts a person's capacity to interact, communicate, and perform daily activities in various environments like home, school, and community settings. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) serves as a method to cultivate abilities such as communication, social interaction, self-care, academic performance, physical coordination, daily living skills, and behavioral regulation.
Participants in this intensive program master multiple research-backed techniques to enhance the capabilities of people with ASD throughout their lives by examining pertinent studies, creating treatment strategies, executing programs, and tracking progress to verify the effectiveness of interventions in achieving targeted objectives.
Upon completion, graduates will:
Comprehend the traits associated with ASD's broad spectrum and typical neurodevelopmental processes;
Be familiar with scientifically validated autism intervention methods;
Possess the ability to conduct both curriculum-based and functional evaluations;
Can design, execute, and evaluate interventions derived from assessment findings;
Understand the moral and professional obligations within ABA practice;
Demonstrate workplace leadership by applying expertise to develop practical ASD treatment approaches.
This graduate-level program demands rigorous study, blending theoretical instruction with hands-on activities and collaborative projects. Practical training opportunities exist across diverse environments, with some placements potentially requiring personal transportation.
