The Wind Turbine Technician program equips students with comprehensive understanding and practical skills in both electrical and mechanical systems specific to wind turbines. The curriculum includes specialized training in fiberglass repair techniques for turbine maintenance. Participants will undergo essential safety instruction for working at elevated heights and in tight spaces. Successful candidates must demonstrate comfort with heights and maintain good physical condition.
Graduates pursuing careers in electrical fields may qualify for exemptions from classroom requirements in industrial electrician or construction/maintenance electrician apprenticeship programs.
