This two-year (four semester) program provides specialized training in addiction and mental health, preparing students for careers in healthcare and social services. As Mental Wellness and Addictions Workers, graduates will be qualified to assist individuals dealing with substance abuse or mental health challenges. The curriculum equips students with the essential knowledge, practical skills, and professional tools needed for frontline work in these critical fields.
Students will develop expertise in addressing diverse client needs, enhance their professional capabilities, strengthen analytical and problem-solving abilities, and learn to implement comprehensive, client-focused care approaches. The program culminates in a practical field placement where students apply their theoretical knowledge with community partners. This experiential learning component bridges classroom concepts with real-world practice.
This government-approved program awards a diploma qualifying graduates as certified Mental Wellness and Addictions Workers upon completion.
