The Rankin School of Nursing provides a cutting-edge, adaptable curriculum designed to develop skilled, safety-conscious, compassionate nurses with evidence-based knowledge and critical thinking abilities. Unlike traditional four-year Bachelor of Science programs, StFX's Accelerated Option lets you obtain your degree more quickly. This accelerated pathway is perfect for students with previous college credits who wish to finish their degree in six consecutive semesters. Delivered through on-campus, in-person instruction, this program maintains the same outstanding nursing education as our standard BScN track—just at an accelerated, continuous tempo that enables quicker workforce re-entry. After earning their BScN, nursing graduates can register with the Nova Scotia College of Nurses (NSCN) to take the NCLEX licensing exam and qualify as Registered Nurses (RNs).
