The Aquatic Resources degree program provides students with a comprehensive framework to study water systems - including groundwater, watersheds, wetlands, lakes, rivers, and oceans - and explores human management approaches through various social, economic, and political systems.
Some of today's most pressing global issues, as well as future concerns, revolve around water resources. These include climate change impacts, renewable energy solutions, water rights and availability, coastal community vulnerabilities, non-native species, ecosystem preservation, and maintaining sustainable food production (through fisheries, farming, and aquaculture).
