The Aquatic Resources degree program provides students with a comprehensive framework to study water systems - including groundwater, watersheds, wetlands, lakes, rivers, and oceans - and explores human management approaches through various social, economic, and political frameworks.
Some of today's most pressing global issues, as well as future concerns, revolve around water resources. These encompass climate change impacts, renewable energy solutions, water rights and availability, coastal community vulnerabilities, invasive species management, conservation efforts, and maintaining sustainable food production systems (such as fisheries, farming, and aquaculture).
