This program equips students to become dental assistants and intra-oral healthcare providers, ready to collaborate with medical professionals across diverse clinical environments. As Level II dental assistants, graduates will perform meticulous procedures in confined spaces, handling both chairside and laboratory responsibilities. Their training includes instrument sterilization following current IPAC standards, infection prevention protocols, and specialized intra-oral techniques like selective coronal polishing, oral hygiene education, sealant application, fluoride treatments, and teeth whitening procedures.
Career Pathways
Graduates can pursue various roles including dental assisting, office administration, and treatment coordination in general and specialty dental practices. Additional opportunities are available in public health agencies, hospital dental departments, military dental services, academic dental clinics, and dental product sales.
