As one of the most ancient fields in contemporary mathematics, Number Theory focuses on investigating integer properties and solving integer equations. While its problems frequently appear simple to formulate, they typically demand advanced techniques from various mathematical disciplines. Today's approaches extend far beyond its origins, intersecting with algebraic geometry, mathematical analysis, group theory, and computational mathematics. Given the foundational importance of integers, Number Theory holds unique significance both theoretically and practically: it features in two of the prestigious Clay Millennium Prize Problems and forms the mathematical backbone of numerous digital security systems.
