It enhances their French language skills while offering a comprehensive foundation in second language teaching theories, methodologies, and learning principles, specifically tailored to British Columbia's French minority education context.

The certificate is accessible even without an undergraduate degree. Credits earned can count toward major or minor programs if students choose to pursue them later. Note that credits applied to this certificate cannot be reused for other SFU certificate or diploma programs. Students may transfer up to nine units of French coursework and six units of education credits toward this certificate.

Official International High school Transcripts required.Submit a transcript which includes grades for all courses completed and final grades for the first semester of Senior Year. Graduation from a university-preparatory program at a senior high school. International Baccalaureate IB Diploma is required. You must successfully complete the full IB Diploma, including at least 3 HL courses IELTS - All test formats accepted with a minimum overall band score of 6.5 with no part less than 6.0. TOEFL IBT- Overall score 88 with no part less than 20 Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic)- Overall score of 65, and a minimum score of 60 in the Communicative Skills, including: Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing
