History examines the broader patterns of change throughout time, exploring the causes and effects behind these transformations. Scholars investigate all aspects of human activity, including governance, intimate relationships, belief systems, labor, conflict, collective actions, scientific progress, and more. Engaging with historical study equips individuals to interpret an evolving global landscape.
Our department brings together professors, administrative personnel, adjunct faculty, postgraduate researchers, and undergraduate students united by a shared mission to comprehend and articulate the mechanisms of change. Our research spans geographical regions from British Columbia to Africa and China, while our temporal scope encompasses ancient civilizations through contemporary society.
