Sheridan's Industrial Design program equips you with the skills to develop intelligent, creative, and purposeful designs. You'll experience the full design cycle—from initial research to final product realization. You'll analyze design challenges and conceptualize, refine, and evaluate solutions tailored to target users. By collaborating with other studio programs, you'll bridge design and production while expanding your expertise.
This program prepares you for the industrial design field using cutting-edge technology. You'll master both digital fabrication techniques and traditional handcraft methods. Our advanced FAB LAB (featuring 3D printers and laser cutters) and interactions with talented faculty and peers across various studios provide comprehensive training for a fulfilling professional journey.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses:
English, Grade 12 (ENG4U)

One Grade 11 or 12 Visual Arts credit at the M or Open level or a portfolio
Four other Grade 12 credits (U or M)
Minimum 65% overall average
Applicants presenting without the senior level Visual Arts credit (at the M or Open level) must have five other Grade 12 credits (U or M

Two semesters of postsecondary education, including required courses, with a minimum 65% overall average.

TOEFL IBT - overall score 88 with no individual section below 21
IELTS - 6.5 Overall Band Score with no Band below 6.0
