According to Statistics Canada, individuals aged 65 and older make up close to 20% of Canada's population. This demographic shift has increased the need for qualified professionals specializing in elder care. Many graduates from this program find themselves with diverse career options. Our two-year diploma equips students with social service expertise, ethical principles, and practical skills to help seniors preserve their independence and wellbeing. The curriculum emphasizes a comprehensive, strengths-focused methodology while incorporating current laws and industry standards.
In addition to studying government policies and senior care frameworks, students gain hands-on experience through a 220-hour practicum and supplementary training sessions. The program fosters personal development, teamwork, ethical practice, and mastery of vocational competencies set by the Ministry, ensuring graduates are workforce-ready.
