This program is available through Seneca's hybrid learning model, combining online coursework with in-person requirements. Certain courses follow Seneca's flexible delivery approach, where instructors utilize cutting-edge learning environments and technology to simultaneously teach students in physical classrooms and those joining remotely. For these flexible courses, participants can opt to attend on campus or virtually.
Throughout this three-year advanced diploma, you'll develop expertise in designing, programming, testing, and maintaining automation, robotics, and mechatronics systems. Focused on automation and robotics, the program integrates electronics and mechanical engineering to prepare future engineering technologists. You'll gain specialized skills in electrical/mechanical CADCAM tools, industry-standard PLCs, CNCs, robotic systems, and smart sensor connectivity through IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) to cloud platforms. The curriculum also covers VR/AR simulation tools to accelerate design processes, improve manufacturing productivity and quality, and boost workplace safety. Instruction takes place in Seneca's Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE).
