This four-year program stands as Canada's sole aviation technology-focused degree offering. For over five decades, Seneca has pioneered aviation education nationwide. Addressing evolving industry needs, Seneca now delivers degree-level instruction. Our curriculum combines rigorous aviation technology studies with practical applications, building both theoretical understanding and hands-on expertise. You'll acquire the skills to confidently handle sophisticated aircraft while exploring business management, airport operations, planning, and airline administration - giving you comprehensive insight into diverse aviation career paths.
Flight Training
Approved by Transport Canada as an Integrated Airline Transport Pilot program, this curriculum trains future commercial pilots. Extensive flight and simulator sessions form a core component of this demanding degree. Students complete eight semesters of mandatory flight instruction, including two intensive summer terms.
Participants who don't meet flight proficiency standards after designated attempts will be removed from the Honours Bachelor of Aviation Technology program without re-admission eligibility. Note that flight training operates daily, requiring weekend participation throughout the program.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent or a mature applicant, including six Grade 12 U or M‚ÄØcourses with a minimum overall average of 65%.‚ÄØ
Required courses with minimum final grade of 65% in each and minimum four-course average of 70%:
English: Grade 12 ENG4U
Calculus and Vectors: Grade 12 MCV4U
Advanced Functions: Grade 12 MHF4U
Physics: Grade 12 SPH4U
