The Master of Business Analytics (MBAN) program addresses the increasing demand for skilled analytics professionals by equipping students with advanced capabilities to transform data into actionable insights that fuel business growth. Through the Sobey MBAN, you'll gain a distinctive blend of data science expertise and business acumen while developing the analytical thinking needed to guide organizations of all sizes in implementing data-centric strategies. The program focuses on these key areas:

Mastery of business analytics techniques spanning descriptive, predictive and prescriptive methods,
Proficiency in programming languages and computational tools,
Understanding of data governance, security protocols and privacy considerations,
Core business principles and management strategies,
Ethical decision-making frameworks and research integrity.

This 42-credit program spans 16 months (4 semesters) of full-time study, featuring 10 core courses, 5 electives, and a choice among three practical learning options: Consulting, Research, or Internship. A continuous Professional Development course enhances career readiness. The curriculum aligns with the Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) certification requirements, preparing graduates for the CAP examination. As an EQUIS and AACSB-accredited institution, the Sobey School of Business adheres to Responsible Management Education (PRME) principles and Evidence-Based Management practices.

Qualification Requirements

Undergraduate degree from an accredited university with strength in mathematics computer science business economics engineering or science Including at least one mathematics or statistics course that covers hypothesis testing and regression
At least a B average 3.0 GPA or equivalent in the final 60 credit hours of the undergraduate degree
Strong English language proficiency is important for success in the program Applicants to this program whose first language is not English must demonstrate their English language proficiency as outlined in the Graduate Academic Regulation 1e with the following additional requirement a a TOEFL iBT score of at least 92 with no band below 20 or b an IELTS score of at least 6.5 with no band below 6.0
Relevant work experience is desired Applicants will submit an uptodate curriculum vitae indicating relevant working experiences
