Students can pursue a psychology major through either the Science (BSc) or Arts (BA) degree programs at Saint Mary's University. The core psychology requirements remain identical across both programs, allowing students to enroll in the same psychology courses regardless of their chosen path. The key distinction lies in the mandatory and elective courses specified in the academic calendar for each degree.
Featuring intimate class settings and dedicated faculty who prioritize student success, our program fosters a nurturing environment that emphasizes practical learning opportunities. Our active student association and one of the campus's most popular programs help students integrate quickly into the Saint Mary's community. The department stands out as the foremost authority in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in Eastern Canada (beyond Montreal) and boasts some of the region's only faculty specializing in Legal Psychology.
