Merge your analytical abilities with comprehensive expertise in geomatics to assist in mapping, evaluating, and preparing geographic regions for development and utilization. The Geomatics Technology program is a specialized field. Prospective students must first enroll in and complete the initial shared year of the Civil Engineering Technology curriculum. Geomatics involves gathering, interpreting, organizing, and utilizing spatially referenced or geographic information. This information plays a crucial role in understanding human-land interactions and influences residential/commercial property projects, roadway construction and upkeep, and public land management. As a Geomatics Technology student, you'll acquire specialized knowledge and hands-on technical competencies for a rewarding career as a geomatics engineering technologist. Throughout the program, you'll obtain practical training with professional-grade surveying tools and mapping applications while studying surveying methods, GIS systems, infrastructure planning, and digital photogrammetry.

Qualification Requirements

To apply to this program, you must have successfully completed the first year of the Civil Engineering Technology program with a minimum GPA of 2.0, and a minimum letter grade 'C' in Surveying 2 CIVL-2026.
Grade 12
Submit proof of graduation from or enrolment in Grade 12, including one credit in each of the following:
Grade 12 English
Applied Math 40S or Pre-Calculus Math 40S
If you provide proof of enrolment at time of application, your official final grades indicating successful completion must be submitted by July 15 for fall enrolment or by the deadline specified in your admission letter
If you are required to complete an English language assessment, do not submit your transcripts until requested to do so.
