Develop expertise in promoting oral wellness and safeguarding patients through diverse specialized training. The Dental Assisting curriculum equips you with hands-on abilities and comprehensive understanding to ready patients, conduct intra-oral and lab processes, and support dentists using four-handed dentistry methods. You'll study head and neck anatomy, infection control protocols, lab procedures, and the connection between overall and dental health. Additionally, you'll cultivate professional interaction and administrative competencies, witness the value of efficient clinic operations, and examine your educational responsibilities. Through the program's practicum component, you'll perform intra-oral techniques on patients at both private dental clinics and the University of Manitoba's Dentistry Faculty.
