Looking to shape young minds? Teaching offers a fulfilling career path for those passionate about learning and guiding children. Following the first year, students can specialize in early childhood (K-4), middle school (5-9), or high school (10-12) education to earn their four-year degree. Transfer pathways are also offered. Impact students' lives through a career in education. This four-year Bachelor of Education program emphasizes relationship-building, social awareness, inclusive practices, core knowledge, and applying theory to real-world situations. These key elements are vital for developing the skills needed to teach in Alberta schools.

After completing first-year coursework, students join specialized cohorts in Early Childhood (K-4), Middle School (5-9), or Secondary (10-12) Education. All participants select one of 11 minor subjects, while Secondary students additionally choose from five major teaching specializations.

Throughout the program, students participate in hands-on learning experiences, craft educational presentations, design practical teaching resources, and collaborate with fellow educators-in-training. Graduates will enter the field prepared to create meaningful, equitable, and tailored learning experiences that address diverse student needs.

Each program year includes practical experience in various school environments, culminating in a full-term teaching placement during the final year. These observational and teaching opportunities allow students to apply educational theories while developing essential classroom skills for modern education.
