The Chemical Engineering Department collaborates with several interdisciplinary centers at Queen's University, such as: the Human Mobility Research Centre, Green Centre Canada, Innovation Park, the Queen's Centre for Energy and Power Electronics Research (ePOWER), and the Queen's Innovation Connector. It is also home to the Polymers Research Group (PRG), which specializes in polymer reaction engineering, processing, and rheology. Our department maintains an ideal balance between extensive research scope and a tight-knit academic community. Students can work alongside researchers at the Human Mobility Research Centre and Computational Science and Engineering, as well as with faculty advisors from other departments. Many of our students have gained international experience by visiting labs in countries like France, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Beyond academic and industrial research, our alumni pursue careers across various sectors including government, private industry, consulting, sales, marketing, finance, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.
