The Chemical Engineering Department collaborates with several interdisciplinary centers at Queen's University, such as: the Human Mobility Research Centre, Green Centre Canada, Innovation Park, the Queen's Centre for Energy and Power Electronics Research (ePOWER), and the Queen's Innovation Connector. Additionally, the department is home to the Polymers Research Group (PRG), which specializes in polymer reaction engineering, processing, and rheology. While maintaining a broad scope of research initiatives, our department fosters a tight-knit academic community. Students have the chance to work alongside researchers from the Human Mobility Research Centre and Computational Science and Engineering, as well as faculty members from other departments. Many of our students have gained international experience by visiting research labs in countries like France, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Beyond academic and industrial research, our graduates pursue careers in public and private sectors, consulting, sales, marketing, and various industries including finance, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.
