Psychology examines the mind and human behavior. Researchers in this field analyze connections among brain activity, actions, and surroundings. This scientific domain investigates diverse subjects like thought processes, brain science, social dynamics, psychological well-being, growth patterns, interpersonal connections, sensory experiences, and how gender and cultural elements shape these aspects. At Queen's Psychology Department, 26 specialized laboratories enable professors to pursue studies in Cognitive Neuroscience, along with Developmental, Social, and Clinical Psychology. Undergraduate and graduate students collaborate with faculty on research projects covering areas such as human sexuality, peer aggression, emotional disorders, and early childhood cognitive development.
