The Department provides language education from introductory to advanced levels, along with diverse literature courses. Encompassing Francophone studies, Québec and Canadian research, historical and cultural studies from medieval times to today, it also features classes in film, media studies, and translation. Our undergraduate program's robust foundation combines essential elements with customizable options. Students are advised to complete their third academic year at a French-speaking university, earning 3-4 Queen's credits. Many participants also get chances to join intensive summer language programs.
