The MASc program in Electrical and Computer Engineering aims to equip students for professional roles in research, development, and high-level engineering within ECE-related fields. Program graduates will qualify for engineering positions in R&D or specialized technological sectors, whether in private industry or government organizations, while also gaining the foundation to pursue doctoral studies. These goals are accomplished through an integrated approach involving coursework, guided research, seminar participation, and thesis completion.

Qualification Requirements
Hold a four-year honours undergraduate engineering degree in a relevant field from an accredited engineering program at a Canadian university, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Minimum overall academic standing of a B (GPA: 3.0 on a 4.3 scale or 73 to 76 per cent), with a minimum B in the last two full-time years (four semesters) of undergraduate work or equivalent. B+ is preferred for MASc applicants.
IELTS: 6.5 for most programs. Applicants to Health Sciences, MA in Education, EdD, MBAI or MFDA programs require a minimum score of 7.
TOEFL (Internet-based): 83 to 87 for most programs. Applicants to Health Sciences, MA in Education, or EdD programs require a minimum score of 92 to 93. Applicants to the MBAI and MFDA programs require a minimum score of 100.
