The primary goal of this doctoral program is to equip graduates for careers in academic or industrial research and teaching, leadership roles demanding specialized problem-solving expertise across interdisciplinary domains, or management positions overseeing finances, projects, and teams.
The Nuclear Engineering PhD program aims to develop professionals capable of pursuing academic or industrial research and teaching careers, assuming leadership roles requiring specialized interdisciplinary problem-solving skills, and managing financial, project, and personnel responsibilities. Program graduates will qualify for positions in industrial and governmental research laboratories or academic institutions. Students will earn their doctorate by completing advanced coursework, conducting independent research, participating in seminars and required workshops, publishing research findings, and defending a dissertation.
