Canada's sole undergraduate Nuclear Engineering program is offered here, with full accreditation from the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board.
Students explore every stage of the nuclear fuel cycle, encompassing extraction, facility operations, and waste disposal. The coursework covers nuclear facility design, radiation safety, nuclear chemistry and materials, thermal transfer, steam systems, and atomic physics. You'll study existing reactor technologies while applying your knowledge to next-generation systems like supercritical-water reactors, fast reactors, and fusion reactors. Developed in partnership with industry leaders, our curriculum equips students with both theoretical foundations and practical skills demanded by employers.

Qualification Requirements

Current Ontario secondary school students must complete the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six 4U or 4M credits including English (ENG4U) with a minimum grade of 60 per cent, Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U), Chemistry (SCH4U), and Physics (SPH4U). In addition, a combined minimum 70 per cent average in prerequisite math and science courses is required, with no grade below 60 per cent. Applicants with credentials from outside Ontario should visit the Admissions section.

International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Overall score of 6.5 with no sub-score less than 6.0. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Internet-based test (iBT) with a total score of 83 and minimum scaled scores of Listening: 20, Reading: 20, Speaking: 19, and Writing: 20.
