The Drawing & Painting program helps you develop as an innovative and thoughtful artist. You'll focus on enhancing your studio techniques while exploring art theory, history, and modern societal topics. The curriculum teaches you to articulate and document your artistic process through multiple formats. Diverse course selections cover digital art, landscapes, figurative work, mixed media, and abstract painting.
Faculty members will motivate you to experiment with digital art forms, installations, and unconventional painting techniques. As practicing artists, our instructors offer professional guidance and personalized critiques to support your growth. You'll gain valuable experience by showcasing your work in public exhibitions.
First-year students can enter the Drawing & Painting program directly, with admission determined through portfolio reviews by faculty. Those not accepted for direct entry may join the general first-year program to explore other artistic disciplines while still having access to painting and drawing courses.
Throughout the academic year, students collaborate with instructors to create and exhibit a professional-quality body of work. This intensive artistic development allows students to refine their concepts and position their work within historical and contemporary contexts.
