The 2D Animation specialization is part of the Digital Animation diploma curriculum. Students begin this focus area during their second semester of the first year. This concentration enhances expertise in life drawing, structural illustration, human anatomy, and perspective techniques, which students then incorporate into their animation projects. The program teaches how to bring digitally hand-drawn characters to life by applying the twelve fundamental animation principles, ensuring believable movement and emotional expression. Students also explore creating visual effects and avant-garde animation techniques.
By integrating these competencies and gaining knowledge of production workflows, graduates complete the program with an exceptional animation portfolio.
