The Aircraft Maintenance Technician program prepares students to diagnose issues and conduct thorough aircraft inspections, covering airframe components, engines, and various aircraft systems. Trainees develop skills in dismantling and replacing faulty components, understanding technical documentation like manuals and schematics, evaluating aircraft systems, documenting issues, implementing corrective measures, and keeping detailed maintenance records.
This training takes place at the Dawson Creek Aerospace Centre, which features a 2,230 square meter hangar facility housing 15 aircraft for hands-on student training.
Provide British Columbia secondary school transcripts or equivalent (Alberta/NWT equivalent course numbers in brackets) indicating successful completion of:
English 11 or equivalent (one of):
Math 11 or equivalent (one of):
Applicants may also complete the Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT) to demonstrate program readiness. Minimum requirements are:
Mechanical Reasoning: 51/70 (6th Stanine) or higher.
