The NET diploma program spans two years, emphasizing practical training in building secure server and network infrastructures through both on-premise and cloud solutions. This Network Engineering Technology diploma equips students with advanced skills in designing, deploying, and managing data and computer networks.
The program includes valuable real-world experience through Work Integrated Learning (WIL), which combines academic coursework with professional practice. In this program, WIL takes the form of a Co-op placement.

Alternative entrance pathways
Students who successfully complete NAIT’s Computer Network Administrator certificate after spring of 2019 may be considered for entrance into year 2 of the Network Engineering Technology program, pending availability. Applicants must meet minimum entrance requirements and may be prioritized based on their Graduation GPA. Note: Students with a Computer Network Administrator certificate will be required to complete some outstanding first-year requirements to be eligible to graduate from the program.
English Language Proficiency:
IELTS Academic: 6.0 in each section
NAIT’s ELP Exam: 73% or “B” in each section
Canadian Language Benchmarks Assessment (CLB) or Canadian Language Benchmark Placement Assessment (CLBPA): 8.0 in each section
CAEL or CAEL Online: 60 overall score
Cambridge English Language Assessment: B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency: 169 in each section
TOEFL iBT; Effective Fall 2025: 70 overall score, with a minimum score of 17 in each section
Duolingo: 115 overall score, with a minimum score of 100 in each section
Michigan English Test (MET): 59 overall score
PTE Academic or PTE Academic online: 58 overall score
