Geography is an interdisciplinary field exploring Earth's physical features—including water bodies, terrain, plant life, and climate—alongside human-environment interactions. We offer three distinct Geography degree paths. The Bachelor of Arts in Geography covers fundamental physical and human geography principles with emphasis on cultural, economic, political, and social factors. The Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Geography examines the origins and impacts of ecological challenges. The Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Physical Geography approaches geography as an earth science, combining mathematics, biology, geology, chemistry, and physics with specialized geography coursework.
With geography's broad scope, degree holders enjoy diverse career opportunities. Potential paths include becoming an oceanographer, pollution analyst, fossil researcher, water quality specialist, weather scientist, urban developer, earthquake expert, or cartography professional, among many others. Our graduates have built rewarding careers as environmental protection agents, geospatial specialists, zoning coordinators, policy consultants, and research analysts in both public and private sectors.
Some alumni advance to Master's or PhD programs, while others enroll in professional schools for law or education.
