The PPE program integrates three academic fields, providing students with an understanding of civic engagement, governmental processes, concepts of justice, and the impacts of economic frameworks and decisions. Mount Allison's Philosophy, Politics, and Economics program stands as the sole PPE offering in Canada east of Ontario and ranks among just five nationwide. This interdisciplinary program unites three core areas of study that employ distinct analytical approaches to examine human society, all while exploring diverse visions of human welfare and the complexities that emerge when these perspectives interact.
