The Michener Institute of Education at UHN provides Canada's sole English-language Chiropody program. Our comprehensive curriculum covers essential podiatric medicine, combining classroom instruction with practical labs, simulated clinical experiences, and real patient care starting in year one. Students work directly with licensed Chiropodist faculty in our on-campus clinic, developing clinical skills in areas like local anesthesia, soft tissue surgery, biomechanics, wound management, and radiology.
Beyond our campus clinic, students complete mandatory off-site clinical rotations to gain real-world experience before graduation.

Bachelor of Science degree in a health sciences field or a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree in Kinesiology with a minimum CGPA of 2.70 B or 70 percent on the OMSAS Scale AND a minimum grade of 70 percent B in each of the following university level courses
Human Anatomy 1 semester length course 0.5 credit
Human Physiology 2 semester length courses 1.0 credit
CGPA will be calculated using entire degree Minimum required CGPA is 70 percent
Micheners online distance education course AP807 Gross Human Anatomy Physiology and AP601 Anatomy and Physiology for Health Care Professionals WILL NOT meet the Gross Human Anatomy and Gross Human Physiology prerequisites for Chiropody
IELTS - Applicants require an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with all components bands of the test being at a 6 or above Academic test format is required IELTS One Skill retake will not be considered for Admissions All scores must be achieved on a single test date.
TOEFL - Michener only accepts TOEFL iBT and TOEFL Home Edition for admissions Applicants must meet a minimum total score of 100 with a minimum of 22 each in the Writing and Speaking components All scores must be achieved on a single test date.
