Memorial University provides two Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) – a conventional two-year MBA and a 12-month MBA in Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurship (MBA-SEE). The standard MBA program features an exceptional blend of intimate class settings, adaptable learning formats, diverse instructional methods, and an international perspective, all working together to enhance students' communication abilities and cultivate well-rounded expertise. Advanced curriculum designs and rigorous academic expectations ensure graduates possess the competencies needed to thrive in international business environments. Multiple teaching techniques, including case analyses, simulations, lectures, research assignments, and interactive exercises, foster active student involvement, while small class sizes promote closer faculty mentorship. The presence of both part-time and full-time students enriches classroom dialogue.
MBA – This conventional 20-course MBA welcomes both full-time and part-time participants, aiming to equip talented individuals with the skills to become strategic leaders attuned to their operational context, including global considerations. The program focuses on: 1) cultivating analytical and decision-making capabilities to address intricate, ambiguous challenges; and 2) delivering comprehensive managerial expertise applicable across diverse organizational settings. While typically completed in two years of full-time study, program length may shorten based on granted course waivers. Candidates with prior coursework in business, economics, or statistics may qualify for exemptions covering up to 10 courses (30 credit hours), provided they earned at least 75% in equivalent undergraduate classes taken within seven years of MBA admission. The Course-based Masters Office handles transcript assessments.
