MAPS – The Master of Applied Psychological Science (Co-operative) program equips students with comprehensive knowledge in statistics, scientific methods, and social psychology, preparing them for research and evaluation roles across diverse sectors such as government, education, non-profits, and private industry.
This two-year program, structured to balance student and employer needs, combines academic study with co-op work terms after the initial two semesters. In their final term, students undertake an independent research project. Graduates will be well-prepared for professional careers or doctoral studies.
Unlike the traditional M.Sc. in psychology, this program emphasizes practical applications in real-world contexts. Students develop strong theoretical and methodological skills to adapt to workplace challenges effectively. The curriculum blends scientific research training with hands-on experience across multiple professional environments. Faculty deliver academic instruction in methods and theory, while co-op work terms provide valuable practical exposure.
