The iBA program caters to students passionate about examining global trends and international affairs through the lens of Humanities and Social Sciences. Its primary goals are to equip learners with crucial knowledge and critical thinking abilities needed for investigating cultural, economic, political, religious, and societal phenomena across worldwide contexts.
While both the iBA and traditional BA degrees mandate completing at least 120 credit hours, the iBA stands apart by incorporating specialized international studies coursework and mandatory language training.
A distinctive program requirement involves spending time abroad, achieved either through (1) attending a Memorial University field school or foreign institution, or (2) completing an international work placement beyond Canadian borders.
