The MSc and PhD programs in Scientific Computing are cross-disciplinary, benefiting from faculty expertise across various academic departments. External partners enhance the program by co-supervising students, offering co-op placements, providing computational resources, and delivering specialized courses. The program maintains strong connections with ACEnet, Atlantic Canada's high-performance computing network that supports much of our research.
PhD - This doctoral program focuses on thesis research and is offered for both full-time and part-time students. It aims to develop skilled researchers in Scientific Computing and its practical applications, with coursework ensuring mastery of fundamental principles.
PhD Duration: 4 years

Applicants with Master’s degree in Scientific Computing or in appropriate discipline. In exceptional cases, a thesis-based Honours BSc degree may be considered.
The minimum English proficiency test scores are as follows:
TOEFL: An aggregate score of 80 (92 for graduate programs with higher English proficiency requirements).
IELTS Academic: An aggregate score of 6.5 (7 for graduate programs with higher English proficiency requirements).
Duolingo English Test: An aggregate score of 115 (125 for graduate programs with higher English proficiency requirements).
CAEL - A score between 50 and 60 in each of four bands, with at least 2 band scores of 60.
MET: A score of 59%.
PTE Academic - Minimum scores of 58 in each of reading, writing, listening, and speaking
