Scholars investigating visual narratives examine how images across different mediums convey stories, simultaneously shaping and being shaped by cultural contexts. Our faculty members research and teach about numerous aspects of static, moving, and interactive visual storytelling from multiple viewpoints. The forms we analyze encompass: cinema, TV shows, graphic novels, comic books, picture books, and photographic narratives.
