This program offers comprehensive training in electronics, mechanical systems, and occupational safety. Combining classroom learning, simulations, and hands-on experience, you'll develop expertise in operating, servicing, and troubleshooting ROV systems.
Graduates of the four-year Underwater Vehicles program receive both a Diploma of Technology and a Bachelor of Technology Degree. Alternative exit points include a Technician Diploma in Remotely Operated Vehicles after two years or a Diploma of Technology after three years.
Program Structure
The four-year curriculum includes eight 13-week academic semesters, two technical training periods, and one work placement.
First year: Two academic semesters followed by technical training.
Second year: Two academic semesters followed by technical training and a work term.
Third year: Two academic semesters.
Fourth year: Two academic semesters.
